Ministry of Justice – Integrated Legislation System

The Integrated Legislation System (IJR) project supports the entire legislative process in Hungary. The developments have resulted in simpler decision-making, less administration and better public services.

Challenge

The aim of the project was to cover the entire Hungarian legislative process, which could only be achieved through the cooperation of several state actors – ministries, agencies and economic companies. Success required not only IT measures, but also organisational and process development measures.

Solution

The Integrated Legislation System (IJR) was created, which supports quality legislation, government decision-making and several administrative processes with a unified IT background. As part of the IJR, separate subsystems assist the work of the National Assembly, the government, local governments and EU legal harmonisation.
