Challenge
It was essential for the Ministry of Justice that its IT systems operate securely and efficiently, serving all internal and external users. However, based on the results of previous assessments, it became clear that a stable and systematically structured organisational IT environment was more of a goal than an existing reality. The main development needs identified during the assessments were as follows:
- strengthening human capacity for operation,
- clarifying areas of responsibility,
- addressing deficiencies in IT security and system documentation,
- improving the functionality of certain specialist systems,
- improving service management processes,
- strengthening the internal knowledge base and knowledge transfer,
- supporting development processes and interdisciplinary cooperation.
Solution
Based on the feedback collected in the previous phase, we prepared a detailed analysis that provided a complex picture of the current situation and development needs. During the evaluation, we examined all factors in a weighted manner, thus managing to prioritise those areas that had the greatest impact on the stable internal operation of the Ministry and the security of electronic public administration services. In addition to presenting the current situation, the document also included findings for the future and specific project proposals that provided a long-term development direction by combining traditional IT services and cloud-based solutions.
Result
As a result of the analysis, we provided the Ministry of Justice with:
- provided a clear picture of the strengths and weaknesses of existing IT operations,
- identified the most important areas for development in order of priority,
- we provided structured project proposals for achieving the strategic goals.
The final document not only contained an assessment of the situation, but also laid the foundation for the scheduled, transparent and results-oriented implementation of future developments, contributing to the long-term stability of the Ministry’s digital operations.
