Performing quality assurance tasks at the Hungarian Energy and Public Utility Regulatory Authority

Challenge

IT projects often give rise to disputes between the client and suppliers: interpretation of requirements, exceeding the scope of the project, communication difficulties. These problems can pose a risk to the successful completion of the project.

Solution

As part of our quality assurance activities, we:

  • Identifying deficiencies and risks on both the client and supplier sides.
  • Representing an independent, professionally supported position, even vis-à-vis the Customer, if their requirements are not compatible with the project requirements.
  • Moderating communication between the client and suppliers: preventing misunderstandings, managing disputes, and promoting cooperation.
  • Reviewing regulations and making proposals for updating and supplementing the institution’s IT regulatory environment.

Result

The active presence of quality assurance ensured that:

  • projects progressed in accordance with the specified requirements,
  • risks could be managed in a timely manner,
  • communication between the parties involved was smoother,
  • institutional regulations were updated, supporting long-term operation.
